APPLICATION MATERIALS
All candidates must submit a completed application, including an official transcript, teacher recommendations, personal essays, two photographs of themselves, a medical form, and a homestay questionnaire. A member of the BRIDGES staff interviews qualified candidates.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
First, fill out the preliminary Application for Admission, indicating the program you wish to attend, and submit it immediately with your $500 deposit. (All but $100 is refundable prior to March 1.)
Next, complete the remaining forms in the application packet and mail or fax them along with two photographs of yourself to our office.
We will acknowledge receipt of your preliminary Application for Admission and $500 deposit. Upon receipt of all of your application materials, a BRIDGES representative will call you to schedule an informal interview to be held either in person or on the telephone. Within one week of your interview, we will inform you of your enrollment status. Applications are processed in the order in which they are received and cannot be evaluated if incomplete. Early application is advisable.
NOTE: DUE TO LIMITED SPACE, WE MUST RECEIVE ALL REMAINING FORMS WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE RECEIPT OF YOUR PRELIMINARY APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION. FAILURE TO SUBMIT FORMS IN A TIMELY MANNER MAY JEOPARDIZE YOUR PLACE AND DEPOSIT.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Our program fees are based on tariffs and exchange rates in effect at the time of the printing of our brochure (November 2010). BRIDGES reserves the right to revise prices at any time to meet unanticipated contingencies, including changes in accommodation and transportation costs, or international exchange rates.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
Application Fee: A deposit of $500 must accompany your preliminary Application for Admission; this is credited to the total program fee. A $100 processing fee is non-refundable; the balance of the program deposit is refundable, if your application is not accepted..
Enrollment Confirmation Deposit: A further payment of $1,300 is due upon notice of acceptance to secure your place in the program of your choice. Places will not be held and discounts will not apply without this deposit.
Balance of Fees: The balance of the program fee is due on or before April 30, 2011. Applications submitted after May 1 must be accompanied by payment of the full program fee, all of which is refunded if you are not accepted to the program. If you need to arrange a special payment plan, please contact us.
Security Deposit: Additionally, you are required to submit a security deposit of $200 with the program fee. The deposit is used, if necessary, to cover the cost of lost keys, room damages, or other charges in hotels or family residences. Any unused portion of the deposit will be returned after completion of the program, and when BRIDGES has received a full accounting from the language academy, usually by the end of September.
Methods of Payment: Our fees are in U.S. dollars and must be paid in U.S. dollars.

WITHDRAWAL, DISMISSAL AND REFUND POLICY
Notifications of withdrawal and requests for refunds must be in writing and sent to:

The right to refunds is limited. The following policy applies, using the date that written notification is received by BRIDGES. Faxes or e-mails will not be accepted.

Students who have reserved a place in a BRIDGES program prior to March 1, but have not recieved a final acceptance by that date because of missing docments are still subject to the above-stated refund policy. BRIDGES reserves the right to cancel any program and to decline to accept any person as a member of one of its programs. If BRIDGES cancels a program, the full program fee will be refunded.
Any student who is unwilling to abide by the rules or spirit of the the program, who neglects his or her studies, or who is believed to jeopardize the welfare of others will be dismissed without refund of program fees.
